What are the reasons for rubbing the shell of the impeller of a magnetic pump

2022/02/25

During the use of the fluorine-lined magnetic pump, the phenomenon of the impeller rubbing the shell will occur, and it is a very easy cause. Generally, in the process of handling, the base damage, mechanical overload, and over-current impurities will damage the normal use of the impeller, resulting in the displacement of the central shaft, distortion damage, the impeller will begin to rub the shell, serious will lead to flammable and explosive liquid explosion and other hazards.

1) the bearing of fluorine-lined magnetic pump is damaged.

The bearing of fluoroplastic magnetic pump is made of high-density carbon, which will be damaged if the water is cut off or there are impurities in the pump. If the coaxiality requirement between the internal and external magnetic rotors of the cylindrical coupling is not guaranteed, it will directly affect the life of the bearing.

2) broken shaft of fluorine-lined magnetic pump.

The shaft of the magnetic pump is made of 99% alumina porcelain. The main reason for the fracture of the shaft is that the shaft is twisted due to the dry grinding of the bearing due to the empty operation of the pump. When disassembling the pump and checking, we can see that the bearing has been worn seriously. The main way to prevent the pump from breaking is to prevent the pump from turning by air.

If the above inspection still can not be solved, the magnetic pump can be taken apart and checked to see whether the pump shaft is broken, and whether the moving ring and static ring of the pump are intact, and whether the whole rotor can move axially. If it is difficult to move axially, check whether the carbon bearing is too close to the pump shaft.

It is worth noting that there is no problem with the pump after several repairs, and attention should be paid to whether the magnetic coupling is working properly. When considering whether the rotational speed is enough, we should first check whether the rotational speed of the motor itself is normal, which can be measured by tachometer. When the rotational speed of the motor is normal, we can consider whether the slippage of the magnetic coupling will occur.

Solution:

1. Once the abnormal noise occurs in the course of use, especially the internal noise, the fluorine-lined magnetic pump should be stopped immediately for inspection and flushing.

2. Check whether the center axis of the impeller of the fluorine-lined magnetic pump is offset, turn the impeller by hand to see if it is smooth, and check whether the gap on both sides is the same width at the same time. If there is an offset, use a bolter to loosen the 3 screws at the rear of the isolation sleeve to recalibrate the center shaft until the calibration is tightened, and should be replaced immediately in case of damage.

3. Whether the impeller shaft is loose, the screw at the rear of the isolation sleeve is loose, and whether it is rusty. If you loosen the rear screw while calibrating the center shaft.

4. Check whether the central shaft of the fluorine-lined magnetic pump is broken and damaged. If it is broken, the central shaft should be replaced immediately to prevent damage to the impeller, resulting in greater losses.
